In recent years, we have discovered the benefits of coconut oil and try to add it in our diet whenever possible. We use it as a substitute for butter in many dishes. Oatmeal topped with coconut oil instead of butter gives it a yummy tropical taste (just add some dried fruit like mango or pineapple..yum!). Here is an unusual way to add in some coconut oil. I was skeptical when I first saw a similar recipe, but now I am hooked!
Coconut “creamer” chai tea
(Modified from this recipe)
- 1 cup chai tea (could substitute your favorite coffee as well)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon raw honey (more or less to taste)
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until frothy. Enjoy!
