Give Peace a Chance

White dove flapping its wingsThere is much pain and sorrow in this life. Sadly, because of what we are called to, we have knowledge of and deal with the consequences of abuse and neglect in the lives of little ones. Many of them are unsettled in their spirits and know no peace.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
– John 14:27 (NIV)

We are agents of the God of peace in the lives of the children in our care. We need to be a conduit of the peace that passes all understanding and brings about healing and restoration.

We don’t know how long some of the kids will be in our home but when they leave they should be closer to the Lord than when they arrived. We have the responsibility to be the face of Jesus in their lives. It is that peace that comes form the Lord that has to be a part of their healing.

A few great ways to a agent of peace is to be a foster parent or to become a respite care provider. Foster parents really need a support network. Let us know if you want to know how and we will send you to those who can get you signed up and trained. Go ahead, give peace a chance.
